HISTORIC PROPERTY PROCESS
HPC DESIGN REVIEW
We will end our process by taking the project through HPC Design Review. There are usually 2 phases: Pre-App and the Official Meeting. If the project is passed you will receive the CoA.
INITIAL MEETING
We will meet to go over the project scope and your expectations. We will also address any initial concerns we believe HPC may have.
DESIGN
We will create options for design plans. This is a process so we typically go back and forth a few times receiving your feedback and making changes. We will create a final design that fits within the HPC guidelines and will allow you to both meet your needs while preserving history.
BUILD
We hand over our set of Final Construction Documents to you and your builder. We can work with them to create estimates and review the design and selections.
SAMPLE PROJECTS
HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION (HPC)
While well versed in the HPC guidelines our team can help your project come to life in the historic district. Whether in the design phase or presenting at the HPC design reviews we are here to make the process easier for property owners.
"Sarah and her team have now done two projects for us -- both with stellar results. The first was an interior redesign of a historic home, updating for a new kitchen, bathroom, and living area. The second was for a "tiny house" apartment and office space. Both projects turned out well.
My husband and I appreciate Sarah's friendly attitude and competent design knowledge. We would highly recommend her services."
