This wonderful historic house had recently gone through a renovation, but nothing had been done to the back yard and no thought had gone into how the house was connected to the quite large yard. We decided to place the screened porch off the side of the house shielding the back yard from the street while letting the plantation shutters create privacy from the immediate neighbors. The exposed beam, vaulted, wood ceiling creates a warmth to the room and give the space additional height. The ipe wood deck is a highly durable beautiful product that is resistant to rot. It will last for years and be as beautiful as the day it was installed.
