This cottage is a single car garage with a workshop in the rear and living space above. The form of the cottage matches the existing house with a side entry to the garage giving easy access from the house.  The second floor plate was kept low to diminish the overall height but still giving a full living space upstairs.  Hardie board lap siding and azek trim were used on this project. GO Architectural Design, PLLC completed the design and all reviews by the New Bern Historic Preservation Commission.
