Neuse River Breeze

The owner's of this custom home found one of the last remaining lots in New 'Bern's Historic District fronting the Neuse River and wanted to create a unique home that fit their lifestyle.  Owning and restoring classic cars they needed a garage space big enough to hold their projects safely while giving them the living space that would take advantage of the spectacular views and breezes from the Neuse River.  They chose this beautiful 24' wide glass sliding recessed door as the centerpiece of the living space.  The sliding glass panels disappear into wall pockets allowing them to easily open up the entire living room to the screened porch and instantly double their space.  The north view of the river is particularly pretty and the breezes are lovely.  Built to withstand the strongest hurricane this lovely home is prepared to weather any storm.  Real hard wood walnut floors throughout the warm wood brings a warmth to the spaces.  The expansive kitchen has it's own large scullery kitchen which doubles as a butler's panty / craft room.  All custom  wood cabinets and bar by Ken's Cabinets,  Builder - Jonathan Wilkins, Photographer - Studio 910 Productions.
