Cypress Hall began as the relocation of an existing restaurant into a previous retail space, located at 219 Middle Street in downtown New Bern. The owner's vision was to create a sophisticated urban restaurant to match the creative talents of the chef Ashley Moser and his interior designer wife Cullen Moser.  We were lucky enough to be a part of bringing these creative forces together and helping put together this truly unique space that will be a treasure for downtown New Bern for years to come.  The interior space is a vast two stories with a small balcony providing future access to our door space with a private dining area and views into the kitchen and it's unique pizza oven.  The owner truly had a vision for creating the bar and lighted shelving behind and the unique wine storage in the private dining area.  The metal windows enclosing the private dining area were sourced by the owner and re-used on this project with great effect.  The front window of the restaurant is a hinged opening so in the pleasant weather it can be opened up creating an awning over the front wall.  The project wrapped construction in Winter 2018 and Cypress Hall had it's grand opening on New Year's Eve.
